How to send additional reminders to a candidate or referee.

RefNow automatically sends reminder notifications to referees to help ensure references are completed promptly. By default, the system sends one initial email invitation and up to four automatic reminder emails in a 1 day, 2 day, 2 day, 2 day sequence. You can change the reminder pattern for a request at anytime during the request or question profile settings.

If you need to follow up sooner or send an additional reminder manually, you can do so directly from your Request Timeline by following the steps below:

Sending a Reminder to a Candidate

To be used if the candidate has not added any or all of their required references.

1. Log in to Your RefNow Account
   Sign in to your RefNow account using your login credentials.

2. Open the Request Timeline
   Once logged in, you will be taken to the Request Timeline, which displays all your reference requests.
   If you are on a different page you can find this by going to References > Requests
   
   

3. Find the Actions button on the original request.
   The original request will be the first box on the timeline.
   Click the Actions button.
   
   

4. Send Reminder.
   Select 'Send Reminder' from the dropdown menu.
   You will be asked to confirm the action. Click Send to proceed.
   
   
   

5. Check Delivery Logs
   You can view how many reminders have been sent via email, SMS, or phone by hovering over the Delivery Log.
   
   

Sending a Reminder to a Referee

To send a reminder to a referee, to remind them to complete their reference:
 

1. Log in to Your RefNow Account
   Sign in to your RefNow account using your login credentials.

2. Open the Request Timeline
   Once logged in, you will be taken to the Request Timeline, which displays all your reference requests.
   If you are on a different page you can find this by going to References > Requests
   
   

3. Find the Actions button on the Reference Added Box.
   These will display on the left hand side of the timeline.
   Click the Actions button.
   
   

4. Send Reminder.
   Select 'Send Reminder' from the dropdown menu.
   You will be asked to confirm the action. Click Send to proceed.

5. Check Delivery Logs
   You can view how many reminders have been sent via email, SMS, or phone by hovering over the Delivery Log.
