When creating a reference request, you’ll be asked to specify how many references you require from the candidate (between 1 and 10).
For example, if you request 3 references but the candidate only adds 2 and they are both completed, the request will remain marked as incomplete.
You can adjust the number of required references after a request has been created by following these steps:
- Log in to the RefNow Portal: https://app.refnow.co/
- Select the candidate from the list on the left side of the page.
- In the candidate’s timeline, click the Actions menu and choose Edit References Requested.
- Update the number of required references as needed:
- Increase if you need more references.
- Decrease if fewer references are sufficient.
- Click Edit to save your changes.
