Customising Question Profile Settings – RefNow

Question Profiles have a number of settings which can be customised by visiting the Requests->Question Profiles page, and clicking the Settings Cog Icon on a profile.

The following settings can be customised on a profile:

Profile Name - the name of the question profile

Candidate Message - a default message to send to the candidate for new requests

Disable verification for candidates - allows you to turn off the verification step for candidates

Disable verification for referees - allows you to turn off the verification step for references

Prevent personal email addresses for professional references - Block email addresses from common personal email providers

Pause reference email notifications by default - When enabled, email notifications for references will be paused by default and can be resumed in the timeline

Required reference range (years) - The minimum time period that references must cover

Require evidence for employment gaps - When enabled, candidates must provide supporting evidence (via file upload) for any employment gaps

Ignore personal references in range calculation - When enabled, personal references will not count towards the required time range

Disable voice calls for candidates - When enabled, candidates will not receive voice call reminders

Disable voice calls for referees - When enabled, referees will not receive voice call reminders

Collect NI Number/Tax ID/SSN number and date of birth - When enabled, candidates will be asked to provide their National Insurance number, Tax ID or Social Security Number and date of birth. This will be passed directly to the referee to help speed up the reference.
