Adding an employment gap without evidence

As a RefNow user, you are able to add an employment gap on behalf of candidates. Depending on the settings in the Question Profile you are using for the request, there may be a requirement for the candidate to upload evidence when adding an employment gap into RefNow.

If you have the setting enabled to Require evidence for employment gaps, the candidates will be required to add an attachment containing evidence when they add their employment gaps. 

You can view a list of the default supported evidence for each reason here.

To add an employment gap, without uploading evidence follow these steps:

1. Find the candidate in the RefNow Requests page of the portal
2. In candidate section of the Timeline, click Actions and then Add Referee
3. Click Add Employment Gap
4. Select the reason, provide a brief explanation and enter the dates of the gap
5. Click Save Employment Gap
